General Questions

Sessions last up to two hours, allowing plenty of time for everyone to settle in naturally without rushing.

Your personal online gallery is usually ready within 5 working days (often sooner).

Once you’ve chosen your favourites, retouching is completed within a similar timeframe.

Your session includes 10 fully retouched images, chosen by you.

Your gallery will contain a wide selection to choose from, and every image is delivered in both colour and black & white.

Yes — if you wish.

After viewing your gallery, you can purchase additional retouched images or opt for a full session buyout.

There’s no pressure to decide until you’ve seen your photographs.

Simple, comfortable clothing works best.

Neutral tones and soft textures help keep the focus on connection rather than outfits.

You’re always welcome to ask for guidance before your session.

Retouching is natural and considered.

The aim is to preserve skin texture, expression, and character — enhancing rather than altering how you look.

Every image in your final gallery is delivered in colour and black & white, allowing each moment to be seen in its strongest form.

That’s completely normal — and expected.

Sessions are guided gently, without pressure. Children are free to move, explore, and be themselves, which often leads to the most meaningful photographs.

Studio Shoots

Yes.

The studio is calm, private, and designed to feel relaxed rather than clinical. It’s located on the third floor (stairs only), but once inside, the quiet, penthouse-style setting creates a focused, comfortable environment.

Studio sessions work best for families of up to five, due to the size of the space.

All sessions include individual portraits and smaller groupings, which are often among parents’ most treasured images.

Studio sessions create clean, timeless portraits with a strong focus on expression and connection — without feeling stiff or staged.

It doesn’t matter.

The studio is fully lit and controlled, so lighting is consistent regardless of weather or time of year.

Absolutely.

The calm environment and gentle pace often help older children relax, resulting in confident, natural portraits.

Home Shoots

That’s not a problem.

I always bring professional lighting, so we can create beautiful, flattering light in any space.

Only lightly.

Clearing surfaces and choosing one or two rooms is usually enough — the focus is on people, not perfection.

Yes — home sessions are ideal for newborns and very young children.

Studio sessions begin from around age two, but I’m very happy to document newborn life at home.

Gently and naturally.

Sessions follow the rhythm of your home — pausing when needed and allowing moments to unfold without interruption.

Absolutely.

If they’re part of your family, they belong in the frame.

Outdoor Shoots

Outdoor sessions go ahead unless the weather is genuinely awful.

Umbrellas, coats, and wellies often make for wonderful photographs — and soft weather can be very flattering.

Anywhere meaningful to you.

Favourite parks work beautifully, but walks, activities, or familiar places often help everyone relax.

Yes — and it’s encouraged.

Walking, playing, or exploring together helps take the pressure off and leads to natural, connected images.

That’s completely fine.

Outdoor sessions are designed around movement, curiosity, and freedom — not stillness.

Yes.

Each season brings its own character, and outdoor sessions work beautifully throughout the year.
